Accounting Manager

Job Description
The Accounting Manager is an integral part of our team. Responsible for managing the functions related to Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, Inventory Accounting, Product Costing, General Ledger Transactions, and Bank Reconciliations & Transactions, Tax Filings, and Audit Preparation – to produce accurate, timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end close. Ensure compliance with GAAP financial accounting standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensure an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end close, which includes management of all finance job functions, and financial transactions that post to the General Ledger.
- Works with VP Finance to prepare tax filing requirements.
- Works with external auditors to prepare year- end financial statements and ensure timely and accurate audit completion.
- Develops and implements new accounting procedures to enhance the workflow of the department.
- Works with the Vice President Finance on daily banking requirements.
- Demonstrated success working with vendors, customers, and employees.
- Thrives in a fast paced environment with changing priorities.
Education and Experience
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science, Accounting; (Master of Science, Accounting and CPA preferred)
- Minimum of 5 to 10 years work experience
- Work Independently and self directed
- ERP general ledger software; (Microsoft Dynamics preferred)
- Strongly interpersonal skills, supervisory and customer skills.
- Microsoft Office experience with proficiency in MS Excel
- Ability to work overtime as necessary
- Experience in manufacturing environment preferred
